11 Questions to Unlock Ancient Wisdom

Great coaches spend a lot of time seeking out innovative methods to inspire and guide their clients. But sometimes the most profound insights lie in the wisdom of the past.

Ancient philosophers, thinkers, and proverbs provide questions that have stood the test of time, and can offer a unique perspective to address our modern challenges.

Try asking your clients these timeless questions to unlock ancient wisdom:

  1. Lao Tzu: “Can you deal with the most vital matters by letting events take their course?”
  2. The Buddha: “Have I done anything today that will help me awaken?”
  3. Marcus Aurelius: “Ask yourself at every moment, ‘Is this necessary?’”
  4. Krishna (Bhagavad Gita): “Is the happiness drawn from external sources worth the inner peace that it disrupts?”
  5. Epictetus: “How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?”
  6. Jesus Christ: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
  7. Sun Tzu: “Can you find and exploit the advantage in every adversity?”
  8. Rumi: “Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open?”
  9. Rabbi Zusya: “In the coming world, they will not ask me: ‘Why were you not Moses?’ They will ask me: ‘Why were you not Zusya?’ Are you striving to be someone else, or are you embracing who you are?”
  10. Ghanaian proverb: “If there is no enemy within, will the enemy outside do any harm?”
  11. Inspired by Toltec philosophy: “Do you see the world as it is, or as you have been conditioned to see it?”

Remember, sometimes the answers lie in asking the right questions.

What’s a question, that’s over 100 years old, you ask your clients?

PS. More transparency here: almost 20 years into my coaching career, I still get nervous every time I launch a new program. When the first person signs up, it always feels like a fluke! And it’s only after the second person is in that I believe it’s real.

Well, the first two people have already signed up for The $100K Club, so strap in, we are ready to fly!!

There are now just 13 spots left at the early bird price. They include a gift ticket to my four newest programs (a $3,686 value bonus). Don’t miss this opportunity to join an exclusive group of coaches committed to growth and success.
