Mercury In Retrograde
Apparently it’s a thing.
It unsettles people.
I don’t know.
That kind of stuff is beyond my pay-grade.
What I do know is that after an Intensive my participants can feel unsettled.
It turns out — me too…
Well, they are called Intensives for a reason.
One minute you’re feeling so deeply that this is the most amazing job in the world.
The next you’re struggling to make some money.
One minute you’re on stage taking in amazing feedback from your peers.
The next you’re arguing with your spouse and behaving like a spoilt child.
One minute you’re hanging out with a group of extraordinary people who stretch you beyond anything you’ve ever done before.
The next you’re lonely in the silence of your office, checking out with Facebook and Netflix.
OR IS THAT JUST ME?

In a call with some clients last week, they kicked my butt.
And I ‘hated’ them for it!
They told me that the best thing I can do for my business — and my life — is to go sailing for 3 days this week.
But you don’t understand… I valiantly tried to convince them… I’ve got so much going on right now. Lots of people are booking calls with me. I can’t take the time off NOW…
They ignored me.
GO SAILING, they said.
Did I mention that I hate them?
I will ALWAYS find a reason why serving others is more important than taking care of me.
It’s part of my gift.
I wrote a book on it.
I built a business around it.
BUT WHAT GOT ME HERE WON’T GET ME THERE.

What got me to the level of success I’m at today is taking care of everyone else.
What will get me to my NEXT level of success is taking care of ME.
—–
What got me to the level of success I’m at today is saying yes to almost every opportunity that comes my way.
What will get me to my NEXT level of success is saying NO to almost every opportunity that comes my way.

I WENT SAILING.
Love. Rich
