No refunds!

A marketing expert suggested we remove the No Refund Policy from our lower priced programs. 

He said, “I would offer a 5-7 day refund policy and if it’s not a fit, people can get their money back. This way, they have nothing to be afraid of and their resistance to purchase decreases. Nowadays, everything we buy online has some type of refund.”

From a marketing point of view that makes sense. From a sales point of view that makes sense. But I’m not a marketer. And I’m not a salesperson. I’m a coach. 

I replied:

“This may sound counterintuitive but I don’t want people to have nothing to be afraid of… I want them to be a little afraid. 

I don’t want to decrease people’s resistance… I want them to have to overcome their own resistance. 

And if everything online has some kind of refund, we stand out when we do the opposite. 

I’m in the transformation business.  I prioritize transformation as high as I hold business. I want to make money but I’ve found we make the most when we challenge people the most, not when we make things easy for them.

So we’re keeping our no refund policy. And it’s simple:

We love people who play full out. If you’re in, you’re in. It’s called Commitment. “Hell Yes. Or Hell No.” There is nothing else.
