Update on my surgery…

I tripped at home the other day and landed awkwardly on my hand. But something didn’t feel right because I was in a lot of pain. So I went to Urgent Care to see a doctor.

After a quick x-ray, he told me I’d broken a bone in my finger. So, I arranged to see a hand specialist.

This chap didn’t have the best bedside manner! As soon as he looked at my x-rays, he said out loud, “Oh boy. That’s not good.”

It turns out that it was a complex fracture, so I had to have hand surgery.

I’ll be honest, I was pretty nervous as I’m fortunate that I’ve never had to have surgery before. And I also felt a little guilty for feeling sorry for myself, as I’ve been in awe of the courage of a couple of my clients who have had serious operations and treatment for cancer recently.

This week definitely made me more aware of my own mortality and the fragility of life.

The operation went well. And I now have several pins and a small plate in my finger! And I’ll be seeing a hand therapist for the next few weeks…

I’m still able to give hugs if you’d like to hang out with me in person, and the RLI in Santa Fe is almost sold out, so now is the time to save your spot.

If you can’t make it to Santa Fe, the Virtual RLI is happening soon, and I give great virtual hugs, too!

Love. Rich

PS. More transparency here: almost 20 years into my coaching career, I still get nervous every time I launch a new program. When the first person signs up, it always feels like a fluke! And it’s only after the second person is in that I believe it’s real.

Well, the first two people have already signed up for The $100K Club, so strap in, we are ready to fly!!

There are now just 13 spots left at the early bird price. They include a gift ticket to my four newest programs (a $3,686 value bonus). Don’t miss this opportunity to join an exclusive group of coaches committed to growth and success.
